eZine Website Promotion & Marketing
Everyone
knows the value of a mailing list for the success of
any online business. Mailing lists provide
for us the repeat visitors that our website needs, as well
as a perennial source of possible customers. By capturing
leads, we would always have a venue where we could offer
our newest products for sale. No wonder that a lot of veteran
and established Internet marketers say that the gold is in
your mailing list.
Though an excellent autoresponder service is the heart of
your follow-up system, content is also king even in this
field of marketing. You would need to provide for your potential
subscribers quality content that they would want to have
access to. This is the hook and the sinker of email marketing
campaigns: the information in the emails themselves. If the
information you have to share is of poor value, or if such
information is presented in a pathetic manner, you’ll just
turn off more potential subscribers than the number you would
manage to win.
On the Internet, information is best conveyed through words,
and in email marketing, words are best used in what
many people call as electronic magazines, or eZines. Ezines are
much like digital newsletters. You could use them to deliver
news and other items of importance for the users who have
subscribed to your service.
Check out the newspapers you have at home. Study its layout
and how it is presented. In a way, eZines are created similarly.
There are several sections devoted to a particular area of
interest relevant to the subject of the newsletter. It goes
without saying, of course, that eZines should tackle a subject
that is related to your business, because the ultimate purpose
of your online newsletter is still concerned with winning
some sales for your enterprise.
Here are some things to consider when you are about to prepare
your eZine:
1.
Your first goal is to warm up your subscribers to accommodate
what you have to share. Make them feel as comfortable as
possible. You can do this by making good use of the personalization
features present in excellent autoresponder services. Also,
you could some freebies for your subscribers, like housewarming
gifts for new neighbors. They are, after all, people you
want to get close to, as the success of your business is
partly in their hands.
2.
Also, practice common etiquette. Put premium on informative content
instead of delivering sales pitch after sales pitch.
Don’t offer them what you have to sell, at least not initially.
And when you do make your offer, try to be subtle about it
by enumerating the benefits of the product concerned and
telling them how firm your belief is that such a product
would be advantageous for their needs.
3.
Treat your subscribers would respect. Do not try to win them
by hyping up an otherwise mediocre product. Bear in
mind that you have to win their trust, and this would require
a certain degree of honesty. Once trust is achieved, the
next challenge is to maintain it, and this can be done by
consistently treating them well.
4.
Always make your subscribers feel that your eZine is
valuable by continuously giving the something of noteworthy value.
This may be the information you’re sharing, or the bonuses
you are gratuitously providing or them.
5.
Try to build relationships with your subscribers. Assure them
that they could always contact you with their concerns,
and act accordingly. When they do approach you, try to help
them out to the best of your abilities. A few minutes of
your time would be a worthy investment to win a faithful
customer.
Ezines
have become an indispensable tool for many online
businesses today. With all the promising things an electronic
magazine makes possible, it is clear that this is truly a
profitable strategy very much worth taking.
